Your school, grade or class can get involved in myriad ways. Here are a few examples that can help you during the brainstorming process:

• Conducting a project week/a project day or a series of (interdisciplinary) classes: the thematic complex of leukemia and stem cell donations can be considered from diverse angles – e.g. biological, psychological, socio-political, etc..
• Conducting a fundraising event or a sponsor run: We experience time and again that teachers are amazed when they discover how much motivation and enthusiasm their students develop during the collection of money for non-profit purposes! And that’s good for the school atmosphere, too.
• Conducting a donor drive by individual students, class groups or entire schools: starting with at age of 17, students can sign up tp register with DKMS. Initially, you will only be registered in the donor center “passively”, however, it will automatically be witched to “active” as soon as you turn 18. A school donor drive is therefore worthwhile, especially at the schools and vocational schools that are continuing this activity.
