For the improvement of unrelated donor selection for hematopoietic stem cell transplantation
DKMS is pleased to announce on behalf of the DKMS Stiftung Leben Spenden (Foundation for Giving Life) the DKMS Collaborative Research Grant. The grant will sponsor joint studies which address unrelated donor selection in order to improve the outcome of patients who undergo HSCT.
The grant will be awarded to projects addressing unrelated donor selection in order to improve the health outcome of patients who undergo hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Studies can range from basic research to pre-clinical animal models and human studies.
Applicants are encouraged to propose collaborative initiatives using DKMS research facilities or resources (e.g. sequencing laboratory, Clinical Trials Unit, Collaborative Biobank). The DKMS Collaborative Research Grant will be awarded to one or two projects, providing funds of up to €1,000,000 over a period of up to three years.
The grant is based on a two-stage selection procedure. In the first stage, applicants are invited to submit a summary proposal. Applicants of the most promising summaries will be invited to submit a full proposal in the second stage of the procedure.
