Schools can save lives

With our annual “Giving Life is In” school project, we are looking for young people to support our fight against blood cancer. For this project, every year we call upon school classes and teachers in one state of Germany to organize a donor drive at their school. Over 153,000 students and teachers have already participated, helping to increase the chances at life of patients around the world. Students, school classes, and teachers can also organize a donor drive together with us at their school outside of the school project as well. We can only conquer blood cancer if giving life catches on!

Together we will find the right solution for your school

How your school can participate

Current school project

During the project period between between August 16, 2013, and July 30, 2014, students, teachers, and parents can learn a lot about stem cell donation. After the donor drive, your school will receive the “Partner School” accolade. We will help you draw the attention of the regional media and public to your donor drive. "Giving Life is In” takes place during regular classes: in natural sciences, languages, humanities, social sciences, or the arts. We will support you every step of the way with the organization of your school donor drive.

School project 2013/2014

In the 2013/2014 school year, we are calling on secondary schools, comprehensive schools, and vocational colleges in Bavaria and Rhineland-Palatinate to organize donor drives and projects at their school.

“Giving Life is In” is sponsored in Bavaria by Dr. Ludwig Spaenle, Minister of State for Instruction and Cultural Affairs, and in Rhineland-Palatinate by Doris Ahnen, Minister of Education, Science, Youth, and Culture.
